Hi, Soulie, nice 2 C U here. IMHO, DISCO2GO got offended by the shameful lack of commentaries, despite the huge effort and a lot his time that he sacrificed to the blog (a million thanks to HIM for that).
A propos the first disco song and group - the first disco song to reach the top of the charts in the UK is generally accepted to be
Rock Your Baby by George McCrae.
In the USA it is Rock the Boat by Hues Corporation. It is an undisputable 'medical fact', quite regardless of how many phonies think otherwise.
thank you very much,
greetings from Chile
A huge thanks for all your incredible hard work and leaving a wonderful archive of some of the best disco records ever conceived....also I wish you all the happiness and success in the world with your new job...clearly you are one of the good guys!
I totally agree with the above comments about the lack of comments or even a plain thank you for all the hard work and effort put into this blog..people should be fucking ashamed! I worked out that on average (and this is across all types of music blogs) the ratio of comments to downloads is around 200 to 1!! And then it is often a "thank you...can you reupload blah.....!!"
As for the first disco "hit" record in the UK, I would agree with George McCrae been the man though it should have been 'I Get Lifted' imo, a far superior track by him though to be honest I do prefer the KC & Sunshine version...but I digress....middle age disco ramblings ;)
Good luck with your new job
Thank you for posting all these great titles I hope you come back to it one day.
Thank you, good luck with new chalenges and come back soon! :)
This is one of the best blog that i see for long time, because to share music one of the most beautiful things of the life. I wish you good luck in your future adventure. Power and peace from Madrid!!!
I have only recently discovered your blog and I imagine that it must take a considerable amount of time to do something like this. I really appreciate the work you've put into it and I certainly hope you will be continuing in the future. At the moment I'm looking around and checking out all the great stuff posted in the past. I eagerly await your return.
Ray from the USA
Your blog is the best in the world!:)
You are fantastic :)
:)))))

:)))))
Thank you so much, from sunny Florida .
I just want to add my thanks to this long list. I love the stuff you share and the meticulousness with which you do it.
Although this is my first comment and I see that most of your posts don't have many (often 0) comments, I imagine most people feel very grateful for your work and the lack of comments is just proof that people are too busy listening to all these great tunes!
You keep the dancing alive!
♩ THANK YOU! ♫
I think that your very kind effort caused rapidshare turned into free machine here on some posts (as already The Saucer People mentioned - hi, by the way! ^_^). If you were able to manage it - another BIG THANKS!
What a cherry at the top!
Have a very nice receive back...multiplied!
