Secret Passion

After Amanda's ill-fated final Ariola album Tam Tam (released late 1983), Amanda recorded several singles for various labels in 1984-85, "Assassino", "Ritmo Salsa", "No Credit Card", "Women" and a 4-trk. EP covering standards such as "As Time Goes By", "Bye Bye Baby", "Bel Ami" and "Magic Moments" before signing with Carrere for a new album, recorded in LA and Rome, produced by Christian de Walden. Typical 80s synth-pop, it is a fairly good album, although Amanda's lyrics aren't up to par with those from her Ariola albums. There were several singles lifted off the album - "Les femmes" (a French version of "She Wolf", "Wild Thing" / "I'm A Mystery", and "Time's Up" / "Aphrodisiac" (the latter also recorded in French). de Walden also produced a new version of "Follow Me", issued on single, but not included in the album. Unfortunately Secret Passion flopped as Amanda got involved in a car accident and was unable to promote it properly.

Although the album as such hasn't had a proper CD release, all eight songs are available on the compilation I'm A Mystery - The Whole Story
